Mayoka Lodge is a luxurious 6,500 square foot beachfront home, located on Roatan's pristine and unspoiled northern coast of the Western Caribbean. This 6 bedroom exclusive residence combines the spacious elegance of a private home with the comforts and amenities of a luxury resort. It is a quiet oasis of beauty and tranquility, where guests will enjoy the soothing sounds of the nearby surf and spectacular vistas of the turquoise ocean.
Set at the end of a private gated driveway the Lodge is nestled amidst 5 acres of beautifully landscaped tropical gardens and only a stones throw away from the beach and lagoon's crystal clear waters.
Our elite Lodge offers the highest of standards complete with its own private infinity pool, tennis court and 300 feet of white sandy beach, making your stay a unique vacation experience.
Accommodations
We offer six beautifully decorated and appointed en-suite bedrooms, five of which we call ‘pods' as they are hexagonal in shape and detached from the main house, ensuring total privacy. They are located around the Lodge and are all connected by a beautiful Mexican Saltillo tile, enabling you to walk directly onto the pool terrace for morning, mid-day or moonlight dips. The sixth suite is the master bedroom which lies all by itself at the top of the Lodge.
Kitchen
The kitchen, with its open-plan design is separated from the dining room by two hardwood columns and a central granite island with bar stools around for those sociable occasions. It has a large pantry and is well equipped with all of the features and top-end appliances you might expect in a fine home. There is a breakfast bar overlooking the pool where you can enjoy freshly-squeezed orange juice and fresh-ground Honduran coffee.
Dining Room
The dining room, adjoining the kitchen is the central area and main focal point of the Lodge and is truly magnificent. Its oversized windows and doorways, frame the seascape making every view a memorable one. Looking out onto the deck, infinity swimming pool and ocean beyond, it is an ideal place to sit back and enjoy the perfect meal around the grand oak English dining table. There is a stereo sound system with cassette and CD player for your enjoyment.
Lounge
Neighboring the dining room through two open doorways is the relaxing living space which is graciously appointed with furniture in teak, split rattan, water hysenth and delightfully furnished using artisan antiques from Indonesia and Africa. This is the perfect room to unwind and marvel at the ocean to the North or the manicured gardens to the South.
Mezzanine
A small mezzanine level before arriving at the master suite offers you free wireless high-speed Internet access, phone, ink jet printer, and a security safe for your valuables.
Entertainment Area
Downstairs you will find the entertainment area, which comprises the Media room, Library, Wet room, Bar and Pool room and Wine Cellar.
Media Room
This spacious room comes equipped with a grand Mexican style concrete seat, covered with an array of colorful cushions and large enough for 10 adults. Relax, read a book, listen to music, watch Satellite T.V. or a DVD from our vast collection and curl up in front of the 45 ” LCD TV screen. Play station is also available for your enjoyment. Just off to the side you can find a secluded area where we have our extensive media library.
Wet Room
Next to the Media room you will find the wet room, fully equipped with complimentary snorkel equipment, sea kayaks, sea scooters, tennis racquets, sand wedges , beach toys and large beach towels.
Bar and Pool Room
This is the place for entertainment and fun. The bar area is beautifully decorated using mahogany wainscoting with steps leading down to a lower level where an 8ft mahogany pool table can be found. If that isn't your game we have Satellite TV, a 6 person poker table, backgammon, chess and a selection of board games.
Wine Cellar
The wine cellar is fully stocked with some of the world's finest wines to whet the appetite of the most discerning palates! Liquors and Cuban cigars are also available at an additional cost. We have a menu which we will present to you at the start of your vacation.
Facilities
Private Swimming Pool
The infinity swimming pool is situated on the hardwood deck in front of the dining room and is surrounded by tropical foliage, with spectacular views of the ocean. It has a shallow edge, providing an ideal play space for young children. The surrounding deck is furnished with sun loungers, (although you may be cooler relaxing on one of the pool floats available) a built in stainless steel barbecue and a table for dining al fresco.
Gardens
Superbly landscaped with a wide variety of flowers, fruit and nut trees and blue stone walkways, it's a haven for tropical birds, rare lizards and iguanas. Banana, cashew, almond, mango, lime, avocado and coconut are just some of the exotic fruits that adorn the manicured grounds. Our two gardeners work each day to ensure the 5 acres of gardens always provide the perfect complement in relaxation to your luxury vacation.
At the South end of the garden, a beautiful wooden pagoda sits amidst mature trees where you can dine under the stars or relax and listen to the sounds of the nearby wildlife.
Tennis Court
The more active can take advantage of the tennis court just beyond the pagoda, one of the only two on the island (tennis rackets are available at the Lodge). A professional tennis coach is also available on request at an additional charge.
Remote Control Cars
Mayoka Lodge also has its own remote control off road motor car track – the first of its kind in the Caribbean and guaranteed hours of enjoyment for the family. Compete and perform amazing feats of off-road strength with one of our four trucks, 1/10th scale with a maximum speed of 15mph.
Golf
Just when you thought you could not take any more fun, here at the Lodge we have managed to place two golf greens on the property. Grab your friends, pop a beer and have a little ‘nearest the pin' competition. The 1st green playing uphill, Tee to pin is around 160ft, while playing downhill offers a distance of some 250ft. Not quite Pebble Beach , but for you golfers it offers the chance to keep your eye in and take some dollars off your opponent!
Sea Kayaks /Snorkeling/ Sea Scooters
The private dock and beach provide easy access for swimming, kayaking and snorkeling with or without the use of our sea scooters, with the reef beyond for some of the most fabulous diving in the world.

Owners & Management
The English owners, Paul and Mandy Croucher moved to Roatan in 1999, where they fell in love with the island and Sandy Bay . They created Mayoka Lodge with the view to entertaining and having fun in utmost luxury with a large group of friends or extended family. One of the most inviting aspects of Mayoka Lodge is the very personalized, yet highly professional management you receive. Always nearby to answer any questions and yet far enough away to ensure total privacy, Paul and Mandy take guest relations, comfort and relaxation as a full time commitment to their guests!
Chef
Enjoy International cuisine prepared for you by your own private Chef. Our talented chef personally prepares each meal to ensure you have the finest cuisine available, taking advantage of as many locally produced fruit and vegetables as possible and fresh fish is always a favorite.
Housekeeping & Laundry
Mayoka Lodge is kept clean and tidy by two highly trained housekeepers. Each day the rooms are cleaned and polished and the beds made up. If you have laundry, simply place it in the provided hampers and it will be washed, ironed and placed folded on your bed the next day.
Gardeners & Security
Also helping to keep the Lodge beautiful and secure are the gardeners and security personnel. They will tend to the manicured gardens and help monitor access to the property so you can relax and enjoy those private times together!
24-Hr Maintenance
To make sure you have an uninterrupted luxury vacation we also provide 24/7 maintenance for the Lodge. If any maintenance issue arises the owners will respond immediately.
Lodge Rates
Mayoka Lodge is offered as a single group / family rental for a maximum of 12 guests. Individual rooms are NOT available.

Payment
Mayoka Lodge requires 25% deposit on confirmation of booking. Final payment is required 10 weeks before departure. Full payment is required if booking within this time. A security deposit of 10% of the booking price is required to be paid with your final payment. This is to cover the cost of any damages or breakage and the cost of other services that are not included in the booking price.
For payment, we accept wire transfers in US Dollars through our bank account in Honduras or by a wire transfer in Pounds Sterling through our bank account in England . Payment in the Lodge for additional services taken is accepted in US Dollars or Honduran Lempira. This can be in cash or traveler's check. We also accept credit cards.
